Pizhichil or Kayasekam. It is the process in which cotton cloth pieces are dipped in warm medicated oil and squeezed to fall uninterruptedly on to the whole body of the patient. This treatment is applied for a period of 7 to 21 days according to the pathological condition of the patient. It is extremely soothing and relaxing and is an effective free radical scavenger as per studies. This treatment is very strengthening and deeply rejuvenates the whole body. In this process, oleation and sudation happens at the same time. It is done in seven different positions.
